Safety Claims Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Claims Administrator to support our Human Resources team with the processing and tracking of workplace incidents, workers’ compensation claims, and safety-related training. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely reporting, effective communication, and consistent follow-through for all safety claims and compliance needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators regarding claims and incident reporting.
    • Also acts as a liaison between injured workers, supervisors, HR, and legal teams.
  • Process, track, and update workers’ compensation, liability, and property damage claims.
  • Review incident reports for accuracy and completeness; follow up with managers as needed.
  • Maintain claim files, safety documentation, OSHA logs, and other required records.
  • Support employees’ return-to-work plans, including communicating any restrictions and coordinating modified duty.
  • Coordinates and conducts safety training programs.
  • Analyze data to identify hazards and develop programs to prevent future incidents and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company reporting requirements.
  • Provide other administrative support to Human Resources team.

 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in workers’ compensation, claims administration, safety, HR, or related field preferred.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of incident reporting, claim handling, and regulatory guidelines (OSHA, state WC laws).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with claims or ADP HRIS is a plus.
