Job Summary: Manage and support accounting teams while providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for managing accounting teams across various business units and providing support to the director of accounting.
  • Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, cash control, and corporate payroll tax compliance.
  • Oversee the activities of accounts receivables to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting process and technology initiatives.
  • Provide accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5 years or more of related experience required.
  • Experience with General Ledger software.
  • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and tax laws.

 

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, outside hours may be necessary due to business need.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Office environment with very minimal travel, if at all.
  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than ten pounds, and standing or walking, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
